Volvo Personal Service

Volvo Personal Service

Kastner Exeter have recently passed their certification for Volvo Personal Service, so what does this mean for you?

We believe servicing your car should be simple. So we’ve reinvented the traditional idea of a workshop visit. By consigning old working methods to the past, we’ve created a new approach to service that’s faster, more efficient, and which takes care of you as well as it takes care of your car.

A faster, simpler service

Now, our expert technicians work in teams – like a racing car pit stop – which means most services will be completed within the hour. So, you might as well just wait and relax while we work.

Make the best use of your time

While you’re waiting for you car, you’re welcome to use our Living Room. A comfortable lounge with free Wi-Fi, refreshments, and magazines—everything you need to help make the best use of your time. And before you know it, your car will be serviced, washed, and ready to get back out on the road.

Personal Service Technician

Our ’Designed Around You’ philosophy ensures our customers enjoy a more personalised ownership experience. The role of a Volvo Personal Service Technician is to bring this unique, personalised approach into our workshop.

To help create a closer personal relationship with our customers, Volvo Personal Service Technicians are responsible for each stage of the customer workshop experience: from arranging service bookings and taking delivery of the customer’s car, to performing the service or repair, before finally preparing and clearly explaining the customer’s invoice.

XC60 takes Towcar of the Year title as Volvo enjoys quadruple success in Caravan and Motorhome Club awards

Volvo has demonstrated the strength in depth of its SUV range with the XC40 and XC60 together winning four honours in the 2019 Caravan and Motorhome Club Towcar of the Year Competition. The honours, including the overall Towcar of the Year award for the XC60, were presented at a ceremony held at the RAC Club in London.

The Volvos were among 35 vehicles tested by expert judges at the Millbrook proving ground in Bedfordshire. Each car was checked by the club's technical team before being put through their paces by a specialist driving team. Performance was tested and each vehicle's 'caravanability' was assessed, taking into account factors such as the boot space available to carry kit, accessories for a caravan trip and the towball height.

Assessing the XC60, the judges declared they were impressed by the car's "outstanding performance" in terms of acceleration, braking and stability when towing a caravan, showing perfect poise and minimal body roll when towing both at high speeds and on twisty routes. "It also gave one of the most comfortable rides of the entire competition – all in all an ideal car for caravanners," they added.
